National Conference on Futuristic Trends in Nanotechnology- 2013

NCFTME 2013

A two days conference ‘NCFTME-2013‘ (National Conference on Futuristic trends in Mechanical Engineering and Nano Technology- 2013) was held on 15-16 November, 2013 in ‘Rawal Institute of Engineering and Technology‘.

The conference inaugural programme started with lighting of lamp of wisdom by the management and dignitaries present. Prof. B. K. Singh Convener of the conference welcomed the gathering and thrown light on the importance of new technologies and Nanotechnology.

The conference was graced by many renowned dignitaries from premier universities and colleges of India. Prof. A. S. Chaggar Prof In-Charge, Academic Affairs introduced the gathering to the academic, professional and research achievements of the dignitaries. Dr. Neeraj Khare,  Prof. at IIT, Delhi was present as key note speaker. In his address Prof. khare revealed the immense potential in the field of nanotechnology. Prof. Khare’s address was appreciated a lot by the audience as it started form basics of nanotechnology to the possibilities which exist in this area. He also emphasized how nanotechnology can help in developing high temperature superconductors.

Dr. S. P. Khatkar, director UIET, M. D. University, Rohtak, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. Dr. Khatkar congratulated the management and the organizing team for organizing conference at grand level. In his address he assured the faculty and management that we will provide all the support to the organization for organizing seminars, conferences and workshops.

Dr. Raj Singh, vice chancellor, G. D. Goenka University, Gurgaon graced the occasion as chief guest and addressed the gathering. In His address Dr. Raj Singh advised both students and faculty to give importance on practical learning instead of classroom teaching. He also emphasized on interdisciplinary approach for research. In the end he announced opening of the conference.

Sh. C. B. Rawal (Chairman), Sh. Mahender Goel (President), Sh. Surender Goyal (Vice Chairman), Sh. Anil Rawal (Vice President) jointly felicitated all the guests present. The conference proceedings booklet was also revealed by the management and guests present.

Conference inaugural programme ended with blessings of the chairman, Rawal Institutions. In his address chairman appreciated the efforts of Mr. M. K. Madan, Advisor, Rawal Institutions and the organizing team. On the first day after inauguration two technical sessions were also organized. First session was chaired by Dr. M. N. Deshmukh and second by Dr. Badri Narayan. As many as ten research papers were presented on the first day by delegates.

On the second day (16 November, 2013) of the conference nine research papers were presented in the technical sessions. First technical session on the second day was chaired by Dr. Bhim Singh in which Mohit Taneja, Radharaman Mishra, Sandeep Nandlal, Pankaj Kumar etc. presented their research papers.  Last technical session of the conference was chaired by Prof. A. V. Waghmare. In the concluding technical session A. K. Sethi, Rajiv Kumar, Sanjeev Sharma and Arpan Manchanda presented their research papers.

The conference concluded with the valedictory programme. Prof. Bhim Singh guided the research scholars how to present their research work in his concluding remarks. The Chief Guest of the evening Dr. Rajender Kumar Anayat addressed the gathering and advised to give more emphasis to laboratory training. He appreciated the conferences and said such activities give a platform to the research scholars to present their research work. The chief guest then distributed conference certificate to the delegates.

All the dignitaries present were felicitated by shawl and memento as token of love and affection by Chairman Sh. C. B. Rawal along with Sh. Mahender Goel, Vice Chairman, Sh. Surender Goyal, President, Sh. Anil Rawal, Vice President and Sh. Sunil Goyal, General Secretary, Rawal Institutions.

In his farewell speech Mr. M. K. Madan, Advisor, Rawal Institutions thrown light on the conference and said such conferences give us motivation to organize such conferences and workshops in future.

The Chairman, Rawal Institutions Sh. C. B. Rawal in his address said we should continue to organize such conferences in future also and management is always available to provide support.

The function also included a musical “jugalbandhi” by Tabla and Tanpura artists which was appreciated by one and all.
